CompactBox with Extended ATX-Motherboard Possible
Powerful computer for wide-ranging image- and videoprocessingHerrenberg, 1st of February 2009 – just in time for the “Embedded World” fair, the Box-IPC’s family has grown. One great advantage of BEG Bürkle’s new CompactBox is the possibility of optionally applying an extended ATX motherboard. System enhancement up to 7 slots at full installation length and height is made possible.
Either AMD-Athlon processors or alternatively Intel Celeron Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors are built in, according to requirements. If you need an exceptionally fast and powerful computer, Intel’s new Xeon processor will well meet your expectations. With it image- and videoprocessing or complex projects can easily be realized.
Up to two 3,5” Deskstar P7K500 HDDs by Hitachi can be build in. Due to their 250GB capacity they provide proper space and allow the computer to be run 24/7. Its harmonized plenum system runs with active ventilation which ensures steady operation at surrounding temperatures from 5 to 50°C. Fan and filter pad can easily changed externally without having to use tools. All fans are temperature- and rotation speed-controlled.
1GB RAM are built in serially and can be extended to 2GB. The CompactBox is equipped with 10 x USB, 3 x audio and 1 x VGA connections, as well as PS2 connections for mouse and keyboard.
The optionally integrated WLAN module makes it easy to work within a wireless network and to use bluetooth technology. Especially convenient and user-friendly is the fact that all controls, connections and drives are arranged on one side. Thus the computer can easily be mounted in various ways by using L and C brackets. The CompactBox measures 162mm in height, 447mm in width and 370mm in depth, at a weight of 11.2kg. It is serially produced in blue, but can also be produced in any other colour, with a logo or as an OEM computer.
