CompactBox Mini runs on Micro-ATX Motherboard
Universal and Mighty Midget for Wallmount UsageHerrenberg, 29.05.2009 - apart from their processor power, important features of wallmount IPCs are their various mounting possibilities due to L- and Z-brackets, as well as the array of all control elements on one side. BEG-Buerkle’s IPC family will grow in July – new CompactBox mini will widen the product range of box-IPCs. While CompactBox maxi offers maximum processor power and up to seven plug-in slots, NanoBox maxi features compact dimensions, mobile-processors and two plug-in slots. The newly developed IPC is especially suitable for users who CompactBox maxi offers too much while NanoBox maxi offers too little. This gap is closed by CompactBox mini and its optimal cost-performance ratio.
It is the only computer that runs on a µATX-motherboard. Although there is not enough space for XEON processors, the latest Intel Core 2 Quad procesors can be installed, due to the compact dimensions of 162 mm in height, 386 mm in width and 310 mm in depth. Up to 4 plug-in slots make the system variably expandable.
Up to two Deskstar P7K500 hard disks by Hitachi can be installed, which offer plenty of space with their 250 GB and run reliably in 24/7 operation. The overpressure system runs in sync with the ventilation and guarantees reliable operation at environmental temperatures from 5 to 50 degrees C. The fact that fan and filter pad can easily exchanged externally without having to use tools is also very convenient. All fans are temperature regulated and rotation speed controlled.
One GB RAM standard can be expanded to 2 GB. CompactBox mini features 8 USB, 3 audio interfaces, 1 VGA interface, 1 RS232 interface, as well as two PS2 connections for mouse and keyboard.
Access to the wireless world is offered by the optional W-LAN and Bluetooth modules. Standardized color of the IPCs is blue. They can also be produced in any othe color and as OEM computers.
